Typically one of the first things a couple does after getting engaged is to decide who will stand with them on their very special day. Those chosen are called ATTENDANTS. Traditionally the number of attendants in a wedding party is based on the anticipated number of invited guests. A formal wedding would typically have more attendants than a semi-formal or casual wedding. Now-a-days couples decide how many or how few attendants they want!
